At 331 MWp, the Prospero 2 facility is one of the largest solar projects built in Texas.

The Prospero 2 facility is located in Andrews County, Texas, on approximately 2,500 acres of land. Solar energy from the Prospero 2 project will be sold to DaVita Inc and another subsidiary of Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. through two 15-year power purchase agreements.

Prospero 2 will produce approximately 707,370 MWh of renewable energy in its first year of operation. This equates1 to:

  • Carbon sequestered by almost 420,854 acres of forest in one year
  • Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of over 69,622 cars off the road for one year
  • Reduction in CO2 emissions of over 54,560 homes’ electricity use for one year
  • Economic
  • Over the life of the facility, Prospero 2 will deliver more than $9 million in property taxes, including almost $6 million to the Andrews ISD.
